Biodata

Dr. Deepa Vanjani is presently heading the English department of PMBG Science College, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. She holds a work experience of more than two decades, which also includes her freelancing with two national dailies Times of India and HindustanTimes, apart from Confluence: South Asian Perspectives published in the UK. Her book of poems Shifting Sands was published by Proverse, Hong Kong, in 2016, during which she was interviewed live by Radio and Television Hong Kong. 

Apart from this, Dr. Vanjani has done translation work for NGOs, edited books, published in the magazine Blogger’s Park and Proverse Poetry Prize Anthologies thrice, and has published several research papers. She is a PhD guide, and has been engaged in various academic activities like paper setting for universities, curriculum development, presenting papers, being on the Board of Studies, and being a resource person. To her credit, she also has a few awards and is the founder of a Literature Club named Shabd Shilp, apart from being into animal welfare.
