Cecilia Beaudoin

Cecilia Beaudoin-Wibberley lives and works in southwest France as a translator and educator. She holds a PhD in Latin American Studies from Pau University, France and the French “Agrégation” teaching qualification. She also holds a degree in English and Spanish legal translation from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires. Her experience in Japan, the UK, the Congo and Argentina, where she studied and worked as a language instructor and translator, has made her realize the powerful weight of culture as a conditioning factor of how people perceive reality, think and interact.

Her current research interests include narrative and discourse, particularly those which have shaped Argentine history, imperialism and colonialism, with a perspective to enlarge her scope to the comparison with other cultures.
